I never would have come to Korean if not for my adoption. The language pulled me back to it, despite the decades, cultures, and continents between us.
Spencer Lee Lenfield currently lives in Korea. He plans to start doctoral work in comparative literature at Yale in fall 2018. Spencer is a contributing editor for Harvard Magazine, has written essays and reviews for Slate, Nat.Brut, and the Atlantic Online, and has published poetry and translations in the Colorado Review.
