Thammika is a mother-in-training and an aspiring writer based in Singapore. She has lived in India, Thailand, Rwanda, Uganda, and the US. With parallel interests in the arts and social sciences, she writes to entertain her need for literary aesthetics while also managing a small family scholarship fund. Her writing is mostly on issues of race, motherhood, income inequality, and lineage. Her mother told her only when she was 27, "So. Your grandfather is actually not your grandfather," and since that revelatory day she has become more interested in the depths of mothers, all they have and hold.
