Mom, wife, writer, nomad, ex-heroin addict. I left the U.S. ten yrs ago in a Sprinter van and have since slow-lived through more than 20 countries in Latin America and Europe. We're currently in Tenerife, one of the Spanish Canary islands off the coast of Africa. I've had essays published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Huffington Post, Literary Mama, Misadventures, and more. I like to say "I'm working on a memoir about turning heroin, the American dream, and other national scourges into motherfucking gold." Now it's time to make that blurb true :) I look forward to meeting you all!
