Sean Guynes is a PhD student in English, a critic of American genre fiction. He is co-editor of Star Wars and the History of Transmedia Storytelling (Amsterdam UP, 2017) and Unstable Masks: Whiteness and American Superhero Comics (forthcoming); he has essays and reviews published in World Literature Today, Science Fiction Film and Television, American Quarterly, and more. He is former editorial assistant to Journal of Popular Culture and current Book Reviews editor of Foundation.
