I am an historical novelist working on my first novel, The Gelid Isle, a historical/adventure story of which have written about 30,000 words. I hold a BA and MA in History from Fairfield and Fordham Universities and teach Global History  in high school. 

SUMMARY: During the Age of Polar Exploration (1850-1930), an uncharted volcanic island is believed to exist somewhere in the middle of the Arctic Ocean north of Czarist Russia. As news of this elusive undiscovered land flashes around the globe, the public is informed that the intrepid Arctic explorer who seeks this geographic prize is a woman.
