I work in animal welfare in Thailand. About 12 years ago I was pursuing my MFA in poetry but left the program to follow other passions. I'm finally feeling the call to return to writing, this time with a focus on nonfiction: personal essays and op-ed pieces. I have a particular interest in intersections of human and animal welfare. A few years ago I earned my Master of Social Work degree, with an emphasis on social-ecological justice.
