Joy Garnett is a painter, writer and arts advocate in New York. Joy sharpened her writing skills while serving as an editor (2005-16) for the peer-reviewed journal ‘Cultural Politics’ published by Duke University Press. She is writing a family memoir that revolves around her late grandfather, the Egyptian Romantic poet and beekeeper A.Z. Abushâdy (1892-1955).
