I was born to a white Nebraskan surgeon and a Dominican woman, raised in Cincinnati, OH, USA. My mother is from a small town in Barahona, Dominican Republic called Enriquillo. My father spent his formative years in Wymore, Nebraska. I am 28-years old. My father passed away when I was 16. I grew up studying Creative Writing and Vocal Music. I attended an arts high school and was an avid japanophile, voraciously consuming all forms of Japanese culture. I enjoyed writing very much until the end of high school, then didn't write for many years. I plan to fall in love with writing all over again.
