Ellen Wayland-Smith is the author of Oneida: From Free Love Utopia to the Well-Set Table (Picador 2016). She is currently working on a book on the intersection of faith, feminism, and advertising in Cold War America, forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press. She is an Assistant Professor of Writing at the University of Southern California.
