Please attach a writing sample of any genre or topic (500-2,000) as well as a paragraph explaining how this scholarship would benefit you. Scholarships can be applied to any of our six-week workshops, in-person or online.
Claire Handscombe is a British writer who lives in Washington, DC. She graduated from American University with her MFA in Creative Writing in May 2015. Her essays, poetry, and journalism have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including Book Riot, Writing Magazine, the Brevity blog, and the Washington Post.
